Nehemiah Chapter 12. Praise God Daily.
During this chapter they have the dedication of the wall which involved many many many people gathering together. There was great joy and celebration!
We see similar gatherings today when people gather together for new church buildings or some other new building. But I feel we fall short of truly giving God the glory he deserves.
Even in our own individual lives, every new day is a miracle from God. So every new day should be a time of dedicating our lives and the day to the Lord. We should be filled with praises to our God daily. He truly is a Great and Mighty God.
When I do prayer walks around the camp, I'm continually reminded of how many of the buildings or projects were miraculously provided by God through individuals and the giving of others. We are a miracle everyday and we are surrounded by miracles. We should be filled with praises to our God constantly!

I am reminded of Psalm 118:24.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
I love the details in God’s Word. Originally, there were 24 courses of priests – each course serving 2 weeks a year. Only 4 of those houses returned from Babylon. (They were again divided into 24 courses so they could serve as in King David’s time.) This gives us some idea of the huge number of Israelites that did not return. Our next book, Esther, gives us a glimpse of the Jews left in Persia.
