Nehemiah Chapter 10. Surrender EVERYTHING!
This whole chapter is all about the people of Israel making a binding agreement with God to follow him and obey his word.
It made me think about my commitment to the Lord and whether or not I have really surrendered everything over to him.
Have I surrendered:
– my will for his will?
– my earthly possessions so He can use anything I have for his purpose?
– my finances in order to further the work of the church and God's Kingdom?
– my gifts and talents so they can be used by God in ministry and in the church?
– my whole heart so I walk in obedience to the Lord?
Lord, I give you my ALL for your Glory and your purpose. Amen

As verses 28-30 share about those who separated themselves, I thought about what we also read about being separate in 2 Corinthians 6:4-18.
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make My dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty.”
