2nd Chronicles chapter 5. I surrender all!

When all the work was done for the temple, King Solomon brought in the things his dad, King David, had dedicated to the Lord and placed them in the treasury of God's Temple. I'm assuming these items of gold and silver and furnishings were what was left over and not used for God's Temple. Solomon could have kept all these items for himself but he wanted to make sure it was used for the Lord and not himself. This demonstrates King Solomon's unselfishness and his desire to ensure all was used for the Lord. That is my desire. My heart's desire is to be able to say all I have Lord is yours. Use it however you want to for Your Glory and not my glory. May I be willing to give up anything or everything for the Lord.
When they brought the Ark of God to the Temple, all of Israel was sacrificing to the Lord and playing instruments and praising the Lord. As a result, God's glory shown so much, the Levites couldn't perform their duties. One can only imagine how much the people were all gathered and sacrificing and praising God.
Only if the church was like that today, that all the people would come together willing to sacrifice anything necessary for the Lord, whether it be possessions, time or money. Can you imagine what a church could accomplish if all the people came together as they did in Israel. God's presence would be so mighty!   Oh that our churches will be filled to overflowing with heart surrendered and giving to God what is due.
