First Chronicles Chapter 20. The evidence of Christ in our lives.
A very short chapter and within this chapter we see how David overtook the Ammonites and the Philistines. The Lord is with King David and his people. There is evidence of the Lord with David as they continually defeat their enemies.
If we are followers of Christ and truly allowing God's Holy Spirit to live in and through us, then what should be the evidence that Christ is really in our lives? I looked at Galatians chapter 5 which talks about the evidence of the spirit of God living in US. Galatians 5:19-21 first talks about the evidence of someone living according to their flesh desires rather than God's spirit. They mentioned several things and at the end of those versus it says anyone who lives according to the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
At that point we are challenged to live according to the Spirit and what the spirit desires. Such evidence of this is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This is what people should be seeing more and more in our lives. So the evidence of Christ in our lives is a changed life, 2nd Corinthians 5:17. Love will be the key element that is evident to others.
Which features do people see in our lives? Do we look like the world or do we look like Christ? Do they see a change in our actions and lifestyle?
Lord, help me to look different so that people truly see the fruits of the Holy Spirit, true evidence of a changed life.

May love be evident in our lives and may we pursue righteousness and kindness as we see in Proverbs 21:21.
Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.
