2nd Kings Chapter 13.

There were two kings of Israel that we read about. The first king did evil in the eyes of the Lord but when he was in great turmoil he turned to the Lord for help and God helped him and delivered him from his situation. After he was delivered he went back to living his old ways and never repented from his sins. I see that in people. They turn to the church for help and make promises about how they'll be in church and their lives will be changed. But once you help them, you never see them again. Maybe I even do that with God. God doesn't want just our one problem, he wants our whole life. I want my whole life surrendered to God so he can have control over all of me and not just some of me. I want to be able to be used by him while I walk in holiness without compromising with this world.

Also in this chapter, Elisha, on his dying days, was used by God to once again help somebody in the name of the Lord. And when Elisha died, and his bones laid in the open ground, some other men threw a dead body on top of his bones, and when the man's body hit the bones he came to life.

I want my life to be such a testimony for the Lord that it impacts people's lives for Jesus. And when I die, I hope my life will still be a testimony for the Lord, that even in my death, a life can be pointed to Jesus.

Lord I surrender all my life.  Lord use me to impact lives for you.
