Good morning my Friends!!! Continued prayers for you all!
2nd Kings Chapter 12.
In this chapter we get a breakdown about King Joash.
- He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord with the influence of the priest.
- He was concerned about God's Temple and God's spiritual leaders, the priests.
- He was able to keep peace with one of his enemies.
- Sadly, his own officials conspired against him and killed him.
I wrote a whole lot in my notebook today but I narrowed it down to some questions to seriously think about for our own lives:
- Am I pursuing the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength? What changes in my everyday life do I need to make in order to keep Christ first?
- Is it my desire to live a holy and godly life? Are there sins I need to repent from?
- How committed am I to the church and the pastor? Am I letting God use my gifts within the church?
- Who do I have as a mentor and who am I mentoring?
- When other Christians watch me, is my life a living example for the Lord or not?
- If God called me home today, what would be my regrets? Once that is determined, now what can I do so that I would have no regrets?
Think seriously about these questions. When I did, I can see many areas that need improvement.
Have a blessed day!

Verse 2 stuck out to me from this chapter.
“And Jehoash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all his days, because Jehoiada the priest instructed him.”
Having a good foundation by being properly instructed can make a big difference in someone’s life. Pastor Blair shared 6 great questions to help us evaluate and improve ourselves. May we continue to grow closer to the Lord as we help others to do the same.
I’m reminded of 2 Timothy 4:1-2.
“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”
