Leviticus chapter 8.
This chapter had a lot of information for me. If we look at Aaron and his sons and see what process they went through in being ordained by God for service, I feel we can learn a lot from that for our own lives for we are all called to serve the Lord in some capacity. I broke down the steps that stuck out to me when we look at somebody who's going to serve the Lord. Here are the steps:
1. Aaron and his sons were called to be priests.
2. They had the support of the whole assembly of people.
3. They were to be clean and purified before the Lord. Even the place that they served was purified before the Lord.
4. They were equipped to serve the Lord.
What they went through for their ordination process is something that I feel is applicable to all followers of Christ. Here's what I mean:
1. We are all called. What is your calling? What is your job or ministry calling? How does God want you to serve within the church?
2. Do you have the church support? This is not common, but I feel each person should have certain Church body members praying for them and for their calling. We all need accountability as well. Who are the two or more people praying for you that are within your church body?
3. We need to stay clean and pure before the Lord. What steps are you taking to ensure that Satan does not get you sidetracked from your calling? Are you in the word daily? Are you daily surrendering your heart to the Lord? Are you praying for your workplace or ministry place? Remember the battle is not flesh and blood but is spiritual forces. We need to bask our place with prayer!
4. We need to be equipped for service. Again the battle is a spiritual battle. We need to be in the word and in church fellowship so we can grow. Ephesians 6:10-17 are great passages of how we need to be equipped with the armor of God.
These are some of my thoughts. I pray for you all. Stay focused on the Lord. And your prayers I greatly appreciate them as well! Have a great day!

I found this …
The question has been raised, why was the blood applied? It signified the Consecration of Aaron and his sons. It was applied to the right side as this is a sign of power and strength.
Why then to the ear? The ear is for listening. How many times did God tell Moses and Aaron to do things that seemed unreal? An example would be: Pick up from an oasis with 70 palm trees, plenty of water and move 600,000 men plus women, children and cattle to the middle of the desert.”Did I hear that right, God? Really?” Yes! Why? To prove God’s amazing Power, Love and Mercy! He gave them water out of a ROCK! That Rock was Christ! (1 Cor 10:4
We need Blood of Jesus on our own ears so we can listen to God!
Why was it applied to the right thumb? The hand speaks of two things. First, it speaks of Worship. Second, it speaks of Service. Certainly as Priestly ministers they must remember that the SERVICE they are conducting IS WORSHIP to GOD! Too many times this is forgotten and the Service overshadows the True Worship!
We NEED the Blood of Jesus applied to our right thumb!
Why was it applied to the right great toe? The foot speaks of walking. It is a proven fact that you are horribly crippled if you permanently lose your great toe. You can not walk a straight line. Aaron needed sure footing in the Tabernacle. So does God’s people today!
We need the Blood of Jesus on our right great toe!
May you knock and seek until you find, then be willing to sell all to keep the pearls of great price! Matt 13:45, 46
Be Blessed

Wow Brian! Thank you for finding that, I love it and it brings me much understanding and insight to this chapter.
Thank you pastor Blair for your steps, suggestions, and prayers! I will pray for you all!!
PB I looked up the Ephesians chapter you mentioned. WOW.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
God gives us Himself as our armor! All we have to do is put it on!!
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
When I have a hard time with coworkers or anyone in this life- my struggle is not truly against THEM, but against satan and the dark world! I need to pray for my enemies.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
How many times a day am i faced with challenges, and make a choice to give into sin or suit up in my armor of God??
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The word of God! We must know and study and live out the word of God! I am so thankful for this challenge and this group because it has helped me to be in the word more than I ever have in my 27 years!
Thanks to all of you who shared such great words of wisdom. I believe the daily chapters of God’s Word and your responses are greatly helping me as I grow in my walk with the Lord.
