Exodus chapter 31.
God declares how all the abilities that the skilled workers had was because he gave them all of their abilities. He gave them all their wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Knowing that God gives us all of our abilities and all of our wisdom should motivate us and drive us to be humble before God and others plus be dependent upon God. When we look at our accomplishments in life I think it's okay to feel good about them but we should be careful who we give all the glory to. People should see us praising and thanking our God for the successes in our lives and all the accomplishments. Knowing that it is God who enables us to do what we do should help us to continue to rely upon him. Seeking him daily for his guidance, his strength and his help rather than trying to rely on self. It's too easy to try and get things done ourselves without seeking the Lord.
Something common throughout scripture is how we are to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. There is Great Value in being focused on God which we can do in church and in our Fellowship. It should be all about God and not all about ourselves. It should be all about doing for God and not about trying to accomplish what we think needs to be done on his day. We need to be refreshed and get refocused on the Lord after a long week. It's too easy throughout the week to begin to lose focus on God. That Sunday Fellowship is a great way to get refocused and refreshed physically and spiritually for a new week.

Observing the Sabbath day was a big deal. Whoever did any work on the Sabbath was to be put to death. I’m thinking today about how Jesus must have really stirred things up with what He said in Mark 2:27-28. And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
I also took away how important it is to keep the sabbath day holy. It is a struggle I have each week when I save things that need to get done up until the last minute. I try to always attend church as a way to keep it Holy and the Lords day but I hope to spend more time with God than just the hour at mass. Participating in this bible study has been another great opportunity to spend time with God and in the word. I am also continuing my staying off of social media every Sunday. When I read that people who did not keep the sabbath holy were put to death or excommunicated from their people, it’s hard not to think how extreme that is and how people today would not regard that message as a possibility. It IS a possibility though because it’s a slow fade week after week not giving our time to God and putting our worldly desires before Him and before we know it we fall into sin and farther from Him. Today I am thankful for forgiveness. I am thankful for the Sabbath
Amen to all you guys said. The Lord restated the Sabbath day command here because there’s a tendency to get excited and distracted during construction (or daily life). He reminded them (and us) not to forget to rest in Him, worship Him, spend time with Him.
