Zechariah Chapter 14. The Return of Jesus on Earth.
Prophecy was given through Zechariah of the return of Jesus the Messiah. A day is coming when Jerusalem will be attacked by All Nations and brought to almost total annihilation. But then the Lord Jesus comes and fight against the Nations just when it seems all Hope is gone. Jesus and all the saints will go up against the enemies and overtake them.
Then the Messiah will establish his kingdom for a thousand years. During this time the enemies who survived the battle will worship the Lord or will have no rain in their cities.
The Holiness of Jesus will be established. The nature of who Jesus is, is Holiness. Where Jesus is present there is holiness. And his desire is for all his people to be holy.
Let me say, we have HOPE in Jesus!
1. The greatest hope is one day we will reign with Jesus in heaven! He will have victory over all of the greatest attacks of the devil who desires to destroy God and God's people. But Jesus will have the victory!!
2. But we also have the hope of Jesus while on earth. Satan's desire is to deceive us and destroy us physically and spiritually. Yet the Bible says that those who persevere and endure to the end will be saved. While on this earth, the Spirit of God will help us overcome any obstacle in life. He will strengthen us where we need strengthened so that we can persevere through even the worst persecution and trials and tribulations. We keep fighting forward because we know that the coming hope of Christ is soon to come. I want to be one of the saints who persevere to the end and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity.
