Zechariah Chapter 12. Are you Mission minded?

In this chapter God will:
1. Supernaturally defend Israel and Judah against the attack of all enemies.
2. God will supernaturally empower his people.
3. There will be mourning for the pierced one, Jesus, when he finally comes to Earth. This means the people will be broken before God recognizing their sin.
4. Then great mourning will result in Israel as they recognize their need to repent of their sins before the Lord.

I have said in the past that this world is not our home. We are here only temporarily. When we die, it's either heaven or hell. There's no other options.
If we really believed this is only a temporary place as we await for eternity, then we'd live this life on Earth so differently.
1. It starts with BROKENNESS. We, just like Israel and Judah, also need to become broken before God recognizing Jesus as God's son, the Savior of the world who was Pierced for our forgiveness of sins at the cross. May we also be broken before God in our spirit.
2. With brokenness comes REPENTANCE. Do we really mourn before the Lord because of our sins?  Is there a deep deep desire to turn from sin?
3. Once broken and repentive, then comes the empowerment of the Holy Spirit within us that enables us to realize we have a purpose on this Earth. Our purpose is to fulfill the will of our Father for each of our lives and to be obedient to that purpose.
4. With purpose comes a “MISSION” mind. A “MISSION” mind desires to reach lost people for Jesus.

So what is our testimony/story as it relates to Brokenness, Repentance, Purpose, and Missions?

What is the TESTIMONY/STORY of my Brokenness before the Lord?
What is the testimony of my Repentance? What in my life has changed because the Lord has made me a new person through the empowerment of his Holy Spirit?
What is my Purpose in life? What gifts and talents has the Lord given to me that he can use to bring glory to his name and not my own?
How can my gifts and talents be used to reach lost souls? Think of the people you come in contact with daily. Does your life reflect Christ? Are you an attractive light in a dark world? Are people enlightened by your presence or turned away because of it? Do people like being around you or do they prefer not being around you? This is important, because if the love of Christ is truly shining through our lives, then people will want to be around us. This is important because that's how we connect with others and build relationships with others. Once we connect and build relationships with others, then we are able to share verbally the hope of Christ that we have for our lives. Our prayer is that others would recognize their need for Christ just as we did.
How is your MISSION coming along?
