Zechariah Chapter 8. If INTRIGUED, then I'll SEEK.
Of the 23 verses in chapter 8, 18 times the words “Lord Almighty” are said. The Lord Almighty declares that one day Jerusalem will be restored with the Lord and will be blessed. There will be peace amongst the enemy Nations. There will be fellowship, great crops and fruit. Other nations will be INTRIGUED by the God of Jerusalem and will come to Jerusalem SEEKING God because they see God is with Jerusalem.
God asks of Jerusalem to be people of Truth and peace.
If the Lord Almighty can restore the city of Jerusalem that was an evil and disobedient City, think of what the Lord Almighty can do with each of us if we let him. May we be seekers of his truth (God's word) and peace (found in Jesus). Can you imagine the transformation that would occur if we surrendered our lives and will to the Lord Almighty? People would be drawn to us. People are looking for Hope in life. If they see it in us they will be INTRIGUED and will want to SEEK the Lord for Hope in their lives.
What a great testimony when we can say people are seeking the Lord Almighty because they see Jesus in us. Could that be said of us today? Lord help me to be such a follower of Truth and peace found in Christ that people become INTRIGUED and SEEKERS of YOU because they see YOU in me.
