Daily Bible Challenge: Day 840 Ezekiel Chapter 38

 

God prophesies against many nations because they don't recognize him as God. These nations are going to attack Israel who have no walls or gates to protect themselves. They are out in the open, and are easy prey against the Nations. But God wants to show these nations and Israel that he is the one and only true God. So he prophesies against the nations saying they will be destroyed by God through plagues and bloodshed, through earthquakes and hailstones, and burning sulfur. When all is said and done, they will know by God's greatness and Holiness that he is the one and only true God.

I am reminded of certain situations in my life that seemed impossible to get out of. I was lost in the woods of Colorado. I was working in the ghetto of Washington DC and threatened by a man when I refused to give him money. In each instance, God revealed himself and reminded me that he is my protector and not somebody else. He may choose to use others, but even still it's not by the power of someone else. It's the power of God demonstrated through someone else.

When we give God the glory, it's a testimony to non-believers that perhaps this is more than just coincidences, perhaps it is the power of God.

So let's TRUST God, SEEK him with our whole hearts, and PERSEVERE. Don't give up!
