Ezekiel Chapter 29. Hey everybody! Look at me!

God is frustrated with Egypt's pride and with the King acting as if he is a god. Egypt never acknowledges that God is the real LORD of all. So God declares his coming disaster upon Egypt and the King. Three times God says he's doing all this so people will know he is the Lord of all.
Why do I do what I do? For God's glory or for mine? So I can point people to the Lord? Or so they think I'm a “great Christian”?
My desire is to bring glory to God. My desire is to point people to the Lord. But to be honest, when I reach out to others and they respond with joy to me, I confess it feels good.  If not careful, I find myself doing something and hoping to get acknowledged because I'm such a “Blessing”.
Forgive me God! May my motive be to give you all the glory and always pointing people to you. May my motive never be about me!! You are the Lord God and I'm your creation, created to carry out your purpose and always pointing people to you and see you glorified. May it never be about me!
I want people when they die, to have their HOPE in JESUS and NOT in me.
