| Ezekiel chapter 20. Am I taking God seriously? Just like in chapter 14, the elders go before Ezekiel to inquire of the Lord. Again the Lord says you can't inquire of me because you are just like your ancestors were to me. You are unfaithful to me and my laws. God accuses them of wanting to enjoy the sinful practices of the world. He declares his coming wrath. The elders respond by not taking God seriously. Let's be honest. The world is attractive. It offers temporary delights. It's easy to get sidetracked and turned away from the Lord. I don't like getting caught up in the lusts of the world. It hurts my relationship with the Lord. It causes a division in our relationship. It limits what God is capable of doing through me in Ministry. God forgive me of my sins. Forgive me when I turn from you in order to enjoy temporary delights of the world. Help me stay faithful to you and please use me to impact lives for the kingdom. |
