| Ezekiel Chapter 15. I'm either Useful for Jesus or Useless. In this chapter God compares the wood of a vine to the Israelites. Once the wood goes through the fire it becomes useless. God said once he puts the Israelites through the fire of his wrath they will become useless and desolate because of their unfaithfulness. This chapter reminds me of John 15:5-6 where Jesus says he is the vine and we are the branches and if we abide in him we bear much fruit for the Lord. But if we don't abide in Christ it is impossible to bear good fruit for the kingdom. It says that apart from Christ we are useless. I'm reminded on how important it is to be connected to Jesus for that is when our life takes on value and meaning. To be disconnected from Jesus and connected to the world is to be thrown away as a useless branch and be burned in the wrath of God. Let's bear good fruit for the Lord and for his kingdom. Let's be connected to Jesus completely! |
