| Ezekiel chapter 12. Wake up America! God prophesies against the Israelites because they are a rebellious Nation. He says that they will go into exile and be overtaken by the Babylonians and many will be killed. But the Israelites act as if that which is prophesied against them isn't going to happen for a really long time so they're not very concerned about it. But God says his judgment will be fulfilled. He will not delay any longer. Sadly, the attitude of the Israelites isn't much different than the attitude of the church today. We hear about Jesus coming back someday to gather his church and bring his final judgment upon the earth. But we act as if we got nothing to worry about. “Oh, he's not coming back for a long time so why do I need to be concerned?” or “I'm doing everything right, so I don't need to be concerned about his judgment!” When in reality, we have every right to be concerned. The church is getting further and further away from living the truth that they have become blinded to their compromising behaviors and lifestyles. We are being so deceived but refuse to acknowledge our deception. Lord, please make the church alive again for you and start with me first! |
