| Ezekiel Chapter 7. Is Jesus Lord of your life? When God is done passing judgment against Israel, he says three times that the people will then know that he is Lord. He is the one that reigns overall. There is none beside him. Isn't that what we all need to recognize? But all too often we lose focus of the fact that God is the Lord. We get so caught up on our daily schedules that God gets pushed aside and we no longer acknowledge Him as Lord of our lives. Other things or other people become more important and capture our hearts and our time. In the meanwhile, God sits waiting for us to acknowledge Him as Lord of our lives versus becoming our “last ditch effort” friend. What's interesting, God's judgment ultimately was to result in the people returning to the Lord. What's our daily schedule look like? Busy with lots of stuff but God's left out or is he the driving force behind everything we do or say? Let's stop and reevaluate if God is truly the Lord of our lives. If not, surrender anything necessary to make him Lord of all! |
