| Ezekiel Chapter 4. I will labor for the soul of a friend. Ezekiel was to take clay and draw the city of Jerusalem on it. Then he was to lay on the ground on his left side for 390 days as a way of bearing the sins of Israel and Judah. Then he was to lay on his right side for 40 days representing 40 years. He did this as a way of showing Israel and Judah that their sins have separated them from God in hopes that they would repent and turn to the Lord. CHALLENGE: As Ezekiel took a portion of clay and drew the city of Jerusalem on it as the city God was prophesying to, so let us take a piece of paper and draw on it a name of someone we have contact with each week who don't know the Lord. Then let us be praying for this individual and for the Salvation of their soul. Pray that our intervention would be used to show the love of Christ. As Ezekiel lay on the ground a total of 430 days for the sins of people, let us be equally diligent in our prayer times and take advantage of every opportunity to love and encourage this individual we are praying for. Ultimately it would be great for us to be able to share our faith with them. Lord, let our labor of love and prayers not be in vain but for your glory and for your kingdom. Amen! |
