| Lamentations Chapter 2. Where will you spend eternity? This sad song focuses on: * The sins of the Jews. * God's anger. * God's destruction. * The Holy Spirit no longer speaking to them. * Tears. * Torment. * Starving. * Being slain. Chapter two is pretty much like chapter one, but my heart thinks about our spiritual lives versus our physical lives. A life without Jesus is a life spent in hell for eternity. It's not temporary. While on Earth we choose whether we want heaven or hell. Because what's important to us while on Earth we will make time for. Is Jesus your number one desire or is it the world? Is it relationships? Your job? Your hobbies? Your money? Does the world consume you or are you consumed with your relationship with Jesus? If people didn't know us and they watched us, would they see that we are consumed with our relationship with the Lord? Or would they see that we are consumed with the things of the world? Telling someone you're a Christian doesn't make you a Christian. Showing someone that you are a Christian is evidence that can't be disputed. Read James 2:14-26 which says, it's not enough to proclaim your faith in Jesus. Your proclamation of your faith becomes real when your life backs it up. |
