Jeremiah Chapter 16. Will I ever learn?
The message is the same. God says the people will die of deadly diseases because of their stubbornness, their disobedience, and their evil practices. This chapter in Jeremiah is a reminder that God is not just a God of Love but is also a God of Holiness and Justice. He loves us, but he desires Holiness which can only be obtained through a relationship with Jesus who empowers us with his Holy Spirit for the Forgiveness of sins and the empowerment to live a holy life. To choose a life without Jesus is to pursue a life without God. To reject God and his son is to face Justice or His Wrath. So many Christians want to reject this side of God. “Oh, he would never send anyone to hell because he loves everyone.” Yes, he does love everyone, but he demands holiness or else face condemnation. Holiness can only come from that which is holy. To accept Christ and to walk with Christ is to experience his righteousness and holiness and his forgiveness for all sins. John 3:36 says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life but whoever rejects the Son will not see life for God's wrath remains on him or her.”
Let's receive Christ and let him change our lives and use us to share the good news of the Gospel.
