Jeremiah Chapter 12. Thank you for disciplining me.

Jeremiah complains to the Lord because he feels he's not a God of Justice because it appears the wicked people prosper, the faithless live at ease, and their crops bear fruit. Jeremiah wants to see a Justice where God's people are butchered for their ongoing sins and disobedience. God declares that those he loves will be handed over to their enemies because of their disobedience. But then God also says after they have suffered a while he will rescue his people from the enemies and will again show compassion on them.

God is truly a loving God. Because of his love he disciplines his people because he wants to see them holy. But God's discipline is painful and often reveals our weaknesses and we are put to shame because we want to appear as if we got it all together when in fact we don't. We hope that our hidden sin that God disciplines us for is not seen by our family and loved ones. We hope that our ministry will not be taken from us because of our failures. The good news is, once God disciplines us, he will again show compassion on us and restore us and allow our lives and Ministry to flourish and produce fruit again.

God, as much as I hate to say that I hate discipline, thank you that you love me enough to discipline me and teach me your holiness. God, I also praise you for your compassion that lovingly will restore me again with you and then out of your love will use me again for ministry. Thank you!!

God, as much as I hate to say that I hate discipline, thank you that you love me enough to discipline me and teach me your holiness. God, I also praise you for your compassion that lovingly will restore me again with you and then out of your love will use me again for ministry. Thank you!!
