Isaiah chapter 61. I didn't know I was supposed to share the good news.
Another chapter referring to the prophecy of the coming of Christ who becomes our role model of how we are to live our Christian faith. This chapter gives specific description of what Christ will do as God's servant. He will be anointed by God to proclaim the good news. But we too, as followers of Christ, have the same Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us. We all become ministers of the Gospel of Christ. Like Christ, we are to Proclaim the message of Hope to the poor, to those held in captive by sin, to those who mourn and grieve. We're also to share his Joy, his righteousness, His blessings, and his Justice.
Last, but not least, we are also to Proclaim his vengeance for those who refuse to follow the Lord Jesus.
I have a big responsibility but it's great to know I'm not in this alone. I have the Holy Spirit and the body of Christ.
I have the answer for life and there are many hurting people who need to hear the good news. God help me to be a minister of the Gospel of Christ to those who need to hear it or see it! Amen!
