Daily Bible Challenge: Day 736 Isaiah Chapter 57

by Blair Blakeslee | Feb 18, 2021 | Daily Bible Challenge | 0 comments

Isaiah chapter 57. I wouldn't go there if I were you!

This chapter does a comparison between:
1) The righteous and the unrighteous  and
2) Those who have forgotten God and those who are seeking God.

The righteous are promised to enter into God's eternal peace (Heaven).
The unrighteous will enter into a place of NO peace (Hell).  We cannot let ourselves get trapped into this lifestyle.

God's concern is for those who have forgotten him because they're too busy seeking the pleasures of this world. They no longer fear God. The continue in sin because they don't Fear God. They act as if they don't need God because they are trying to be self-sufficient.  This is a very dangerous place to be. We can't let ourselves go down this path.
God is looking for those who will seek him with broken hearts because they recognize their need for him because of their sin and imperfections. God is looking for those who will walk in humility versus arrogance. Those who walk in humility recognize, again, their need for God and they're able to value others above themselves rather than act as if they are better than others.

CHALLENGE:
Which path are you seeking? One with the Lord or one without. Be careful which path you choose to go down. Our choices have eternal consequences. Be careful! There are some places I wouldn't go if I were you.
God help each and every one of us when we allow our actions or our thought processes to enter into an area that will hurt us.
