Daily Bible Challenge: Day 729 Isaiah Chapter 50

Isaiah Chapter 50. Separated From God!

Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We are all sinners and death awaits all of us. We are all condemned to die in a lake of fire forever separated from God.

Isaiah chapter 50 points out that our sins have hurt our relationship with God. He is calling out to his people but they don't respond. They're walking in darkness and are content there, not realizing their fate. Not realizing the torment that awaits them.
But God, out of his love, has provided a servant (Jesus) who would offer his body to be beaten, his beard to be pulled out, his face to be mocked and spat upon and more. Why? So that He could take on our penalty of our sins for our forgiveness of sins. So when God looks at us who have received Jesus, he sees not our sin, but sees the righteousness of Jesus in us. We are clean and made whole and able to come into a relationship with the Father through our faith in Jesus.
God calls us, as believers, to no longer walk in darkness (sin) but to walk in the light of Jesus so that we too can be a bright light in a dark world bringing the Good News of Salvation to those around us.

Thank you Jesus for New Life, and help me to share this New Life with others so they too can experience Salvation and forgiveness of sin because of you.
Amen
