Isaiah Chapter 26. Praise Time.
Isaiah Chapter 26 is a praise chapter to the Lord.
1) They give praise to God for his strong walls in protecting the city. Psalm 61:3 says, “For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.” Let us thank the Lord and praise the Lord for his protection. We can rest in him, in and through all circumstances.
2) They give praise to God with faith and trust. To have true faith and trust in the Lord is the ability to praise Him always because no matter what the circumstances are, we are confident that he is in control and he will intervene and show himself. Knowing that results in the giving of praise even in advance.
3) God is to be honored above all others. Be careful who you give praise to and who you give credit to. It's God who inspires others as his way of coming to our aid. Yes, we want to thank people when they are kind and generous but ultimately we need to give glory to God.
