Isaiah Chapter 24. Happy versus Obedience.
In this chapter it was prophesied that God would devastate the Earth and there would be no more joy or celebration because of the people living in disobedience to the Lord.
Is this not a picture of a life without Christ while pursuing a life of selfishness and disobedience? Just as it was prophesied that the Earth would be devastated because of disobedience, so it is written the devastation of those who refuse to repent from sin and turn to a relationship with Jesus for the Forgiveness of sin. Those today, who choose a life of disobedience to God, face eternal damnation in hell.
I talked to a man who tried to justify sin by saying God wants us to be happy. My response was. No , God's number one desire is for us to be obedient.
The first step to obedience is repent from sin and turn to Jesus for forgiveness of sin.
After that, let there be a life long transformation of one's life for the Lord as we pursue his righteousness with the help of his Holy Spirit.
