Daily Bible Challenge: Day 699 Isaiah Chapter 20

In this chapter, it's prophesied that Assyria will lead away Cush and Egypt while they are stripped and bared. Then those who trusted in Cush and Egypt will be dismayed and put to shame.

What do we put our trust in? To put trust in anything but the Lord can easily result in disappointment.

I trust my job! Really? Hasn't covid-19 proved that one could lose their job at any moment? Think of how many people lost their jobs during this time.

I trust in my money to buy food! Really? Hasn't covid-19 proved that one's money can disappear within a moment?

I trust my boyfriend will never leave me. He said he loved me. We've had a child together. But then he leaves! You feel abandoned while raising a child on your own.

Your parents have taken care of you and have always been a rock in your life. Then old age has crept in and God called them home. Or sickness, cancer or disease, settles in and takes their life. Now what do you do?

Friends and family are great but they can't be what we rely on. God must be what we rely on daily over anyone or anything. He'll be with us in and through every circumstances of life. He wants to be the rock we stand on. He will sustain us and help us through all situations. It's called Faith or trust!

What are you going through right now? Have you experienced disappointment or been dismayed? Christ wants to be the one you lean on 100%. Seek Him daily and put your faith and trust in him 100%.
