Isaiah Chapter 11. To have the Peace of Christ is to have a Transformed Life!
Isaiah chapter 11 speaks of the coming of Jesus Christ. It says he will Delight in the fear of the Lord and He will also judge All Nations with his righteousness.
If we really believed that, we too would have a fear of the Lord. We would recognize that we can't stand in the Lord's presence because of our sin. We would recognize the only way we can obtain righteousness is through a relationship with Jesus. He's the one that can forgive us and cleanse us and cover us with his righteousness so that we escape his judgment and wrath.
We become new people and we are filled with his peace. The peace that comes from Christ is a transforming peace.
2nd Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ, they are New Creation. The old sinful self is gone and the new transformed person in Christ has come.
Isaiah says that when this transformation occurs that those who once thought of us as evil, will now see us as people of love. People who were once our enemy, because of all the evil they did, will become our friend in Jesus because of the Lord's mighty transforming power.
