Isaiah Chapter 2. The Lord is coming.
Chapter 2 speaks of the coming of the Lord. He will teach us, show us the way, and he will judge all Nations.
There will be peace and there will be those who will walk in the light of the Lord.
Before the Lord comes the people will be full of evil, building up treasures for themselves, trusting in self vs on the Lord. They will follow false god's. Their hearts will be far from Him.
The people are warned to hide because when the Lord comes he will humble those who did not include the Lord into their lives.
And the Lord will be exalted.
The people will run in fear because of the Majesty of the Lord. They will get rid of their idols and flee in fear because of the Lord's judgement.
The Lord has come to earth as a baby and we have yet to see the Second Coming of Jesus when He comes to Judge all people. I may die before His return, but I will still face His Judgement. Where is my heart? Have I surrendered everything? Am I building up treasures for self or the kingdom of God? Am I hungry for God's Word and Holiness? Or does the pleasures of this world capture my heart?
CHALLENGE:
Surrender or give up anything in your life that hinders your relationship with the Lord.
