Psalms Chapter 124. God is our HELPER.
In this chapter the psalmist states that if the Lord was not on their side that their enemy would have swallowed them up.  The floods would have en-gulfed them. The torrent would have swept over them. The raging waters would have swept them away.
The psalmist praises the Lord on how they were delivered from their enemies. The last verse says, “Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and Earth.”
I don't think we realize how blessed we are. Everyday God is doing miracles in our lives. He's our protector and helper. Think of times your life was saved or doors miraculously opened up, doors of opportunities.
A shotgun went off at my feet. I fell through a hay shoot at age 3 and hit my head on the concrete. I totaled my car with no injuries to myself. I fell from a tree 20-plus feet high and broke my back but now I'm okay. God has opened doors for my life and future when I didn't expect it. He caught me by surprise more than once. He has used me in Ministry over and over again especially when I felt not worthy.
The bottom line, to me, is, take everything to the Lord in prayer. Philippians 4:6.
Life gets so busy and we face challenges every day that we find ourselves fighting trials in our own strength. We forget God has provided an answer for us that gives us victory, helps us be more like Jesus, brings Glory to God, and/or impacts others around us. Let's get in the habit of taking everything to God in prayer.
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and Earth.”
