Psalms Chapter 123. God's Provision.
Good morning everyone!
In this chapter it says my eyes look to God in heaven just like a slave looks to the hand of his master.
In other words, the slave looks to their masters hands when they're looking for some kind of provision. So the psalmist looks to God with great intent while awaiting for God's provision. The psalmist is looking for MERCY. The people have been made to feel worthless and have been belittled with ridicule.
What about us, as individuals, what PROVISION are we looking for from God? What is our need? What are we facing? Maybe it's a job. Maybe we have been bullied and have listened to the lies of the bullies so that we feel worthless and incompetent. We feel insignificant. Perhaps our marriage is suffering. We have an addiction. We are hurting financially.
Challenge:
1. Seek God with great intensity and Trust Him to intervene.
2. Get involved with the church, the body of Christ. The church is one of God's tools for meeting and helping others in their time of need. Read 1st Corinthians chapter 12. It states how we all have gifts and all are to be used to glorify God and build up the people within the church.
3. Tell one person about your need and say I need help. They may have connections for helping you. They can pray with you and for you while trusting God with you that He will intervene.
DON'T DO NOTHING! Nothing is an act of “giving up”. Nothing is the sign of “hopelessness”. Be proactive. Keep striving! Keep praying! Keep seeking! Keep looking to God! Give him, and LOVE Him with your whole heart!
