Psalms Chapter 117. He Loves Us!
Wow A 2 verse chapter. Short and sweet and to the point. The psalmist is calling all nations and all people everywhere to praise and extol the Lord because of his love and faithfulness forever toward us.
God loves me! I can't say that about everyone. Not everyone loves me. Honestly, I don't always show love to others. Often times my love is self focused verses over others. I'm looking out for me.
But God loves us all. We're all messed up. I said things I'm not proud of. I've done things I'm ashamed of. I've done things I wish I could take back. I've done things when I then struggled to forgive myself and wondered how God could forgive me. I even wondered if he'd even use me again.
Let me establish some Truths:
1. I'm a sinner and I'm not worthy of God's Love.
2. Let me expound that truth, we are all sinners and we all are not worthy of God's love.
3. Despite one and two, God still loves us. Romans 5:6 says, “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless [at our worst] Christ died for the ungodly.”
You get this? Are you listening? When I was at my worst: guilt, shame, unforgiving of self, making bad choices, Christ still died for me because he loves me!
Romans 5:8 goes on to say, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this, while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”
He didn't wait until I changed my ways, but died for me while I was a sinner.
We all know John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Nobody has ever Faithfully Loved Me like Jesus. He truly loves me and now he's asking me to love him and quit chasing for love in all the wrong places. I need to pursue a love relationship with the Lord and Express that love to him in my everyday praises. Thank you Lord for your love and help me praise you always! Help me share that love with others.

    In every other religion, man is trying to make contact with a god. Only Christianity is God reaching down graciously to man!
