Psalms Chapter 97. Does the Lord reign in your heart?
Good morning Everyone!!!! Prayers continue to go out for you. I believe in you!
The psalmist starts this chapter with, “The Lord Reigns.”
Really, what more can be said! If God Reigns, then what can stand against him? No one! Nothing!
He is described as being righteous and full of Justice. He's undefeatable. Fire and lightning go before him. He can't be stopped. This is the God we serve! This is the God who loves us!
To believe God Reigns is to put one's full allegiance into him. And because he is Holy he will want us to be holy also. So to love God, is to hate evil. To love God is to want to be holy. We are fools to follow anyone or anything else. Therefore, let us pursue him with all our hearts in Holiness and Obedience.
In John 14:21, 23-24 Jesus says, “He who has my commandments and keeps them, those are the ones who love me. And he who loves me shall be love my my father and I will love him and will show myself to him. If anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me does not keep my words and the word which you hear is not mine but the Fathers who sent me.”
God, you do reign! I praise you for this! I give you my full allegiance. May my love for you be demonstrated in my Obedience to your Word. I desire to make you known so that others might serve you also.
