Psalms Chapter 93. I'm clothed in Majesty!
This chapter gives a powerful display of our God! Wow, like no one can stand against Him. There are mighty displays of God's majesty seen in His creation. But even the most mightiest of the most mightiest falls Way short of God's true Majesty.
I've seen mighty displays of hurricanes and earthquakes but even that does not give a true picture of How majestic our God is.
This passage said that God is robed in Majesty. That's his makeup. So who or what can stand or even compare to God? No one! Nothing! Even to see him in person would cause one to fall on their knees in worship. And as followers of Christ, we are blessed to be clothed with the clothes of Christ. Galatians 3:26-27 says, “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
If you remember in Matthew Chapter 3, Jesus was baptized by John and after his baptism the Spirit of God came upon him like a dove. It was soon after that, that Christ started his ministry and did so with power and Majesty.
So just as Christ received the Holy Spirit and was empowered in Majesty, so we too, when baptized into Christ, receive the same power and Majesty through the same Holy Spirit.
For me, I want to be clothed in Christ, not so I look good on the outside like the Pharisees who were adorned in splendor outwardly but inwardly were like dead men bones, Matthew 23:27.
I want to be clothed with Christ in majesty and power in order to successfully carry out the call God has on my life. I want there to be a real life change on the inside! I want it to be real. I don't want to be a hypocrite that looks ever so holy on the outside but inwardly I'm covering up secret sins that God wants to get rid of.
God, clothe me with your power and Majesty so I can be transformed on the inside out. Display your power and Majesty through me so I can impact lives for you. Use me, God! And forgive me of my sins. Empower me to repent from any sin that holds me back and keeps me from being all you want me to be for you. Amen.
