Psalm Chapter 59. Don't forget! God be glorified!
Don't forget who you are in Christ!
Once again we have a chapter that focuses on three main areas:
1. God help me.
2. God deliver me.
3. God I praise you.
But 2 comments the psalmist makes which captures my attention:
Vs. 11 King David asks the Lord to overtake the enemies but not to kill them so the people would not quickly forget the mighty hand of God.
Vs. 13 King David asks the Lord to overtake the enemies so the world around them would know that God is the TRUE God!
May we not quickly forget what the Lord has done for us. It is easy to forget when we are facing new trials or tribulations.
May we always remember how God has intervened so that it acts as an encouragement to believe in God's upcoming intervention. He will not fail us.
And when he does intervene, we want God's name to be glorified. Lord may people see what great things you are doing at the camp. May I also share what you are doing so they can hear and rejoice with me. Lord help me remember your greatness and may your name be glorified amongst your people.
