Psalms Chapter 43. My Hope is in God.
You are all a blessing, upon a blessing, upon a blessing! I am blessed by you!!!
This is the third time in the last two chapters the psalmist has said, “Why are you downcast, oh my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
I look at this verse like a math problem:
Being downcast or disturbed + Putting hope in God = Praise to God.
I truly believe, though my actions sometimes don't show it, but God loves us and we can trust him with our lives.
Philippians 4:4,6 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always! I will say it again rejoice!  Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petitions, with Thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.
1. Why should we rejoice always? Because God is in control and we can trust him and He cares about us.
2. Why does it say not to be anxious about anything? Because God is in control and we can trust him and He cares about us.
3. Why should we share all of our prayer concerns and petitions with God? Because God is in control and we can trust him and He cares about us.
4. Why should we present them with Thanksgiving in advance? Because God is in control and we can trust him and He cares about us.
Do you see a pattern here?
Here's a math problem again, adding one element.
Our prayer concerns + A heart of Thanksgiving + Hope and trust in God = A time of praise to God.
What are you anxious about today? Take it to God with Thanksgiving because God is in control and we can trust Him! And, Oh Yeah, He Cares about Us!
