Psalm chapter 22. Are you listening?
Good morning Everyone!
This chapter is about an individual, some say Jesus himself, some say King David, some say an experience by David that many could relate with.
1. This individual is in intense need of the Lord.
2. The individual recognizes how God has delivered those before him and wonders why he is not being delivered.
3. He complains of such great torment and even sees God being mocked.
4. But God does rescue. That's the hope we have through Christ.
5. In fact, everyone will respond to God in some way. Some will respond in worship when they recognize him for who he is. Others will bow down before him in shame and judgement because they rejected Him.
6. This God who saves us will be told about in future generations. In fact they will proclaim his righteousness.
Verses 30 and 31 remind me of the great commission that Jesus has given us to proclaim his name to all people.
How serious am I about proclaiming the name of Jesus in my everyday life? Do I want people to hear the good news of the salvation that comes through Jesus alone? Or do I let the fear that Satan throws at me prevent me from speaking the truth that God wants so desperately for others to hear?

I think that we have reached quite a milestone by arriving at the 500th chapter of the Bible! I can see many parallels to Jesus in this chapter such as in verses 16-18 where we read about how His hands and feet were pierced and that lots were cast for His clothing.
