Psalm Chapter 14. Don't be a fool!
Verse 1 + 2 gives two options. Be a fool or be one who seeks God!
It says, a fool is someone who says in their heart that there is no God. And that God is looking for those whose hearts are seeking Him.
These two verses act as a motivation for me to pray for my family, relatives and Friends. You're either a fool or you're one who is seeking God. Your faith is proactive. It's not standing still. It doesn't relax. It's not content with mere words that declare one's salvation, but it is always pursuing God and DEMONSTRATING one's salvation.
We live in a world where it's too easy to get caught up in contentment or get sidetracked so that our heart is no longer seeking God. It's just standing still. And you can only stand still for so long before your faith walk begins to go backwards.
Challenge today: how are you proactive with your faith? How are you and your family pursuing God? Does God influence your decisions all day and influence how you live at work and home? Do you fit in with the world?  Does the world recognize you're different? Is your family pursuing God because of your influence, or not?
God, help me to daily seek you! Help me be proactive with my faith everyday!
