Esther Chapter 2. What is God up to now?
We never know what God is up to. We never know what his plans are going to be. We never know how our lives will change.
1.We might be praying to God for an open door for change, and God may open a door totally unexpected, in an area of life we never would have thought of. Or
2. We may not be looking for change, but circumstances in life happen that catch us totally off-guard and result in God starting to open a new door for a new life change.
Esther's parents died when she was a child and her older cousin, Mordecai, raised her. She was a Jewish girl with no parents, being raised by Mordecai her cousin.
I feel pretty confident in saying if someone had told her and Mordecai that one day she would be queen of a non-jewish Nation, they would have laughed and seen such absurdity in the statement.
But God had different plans for her life for different reasons. The thing that seemed absurd, ridiculous and impossible, actually did happen.
God is always at work, even if it seems like he isn't. We never know when God will reveal a new plan for our lives, even plans that years ago we would have said would never happen.
When God reveals His new plan for our lives, trust him.
Get ready for a new adventure with new opportunities and new challenges that stretch our faith and stretch us outside our comfort zone causing us to lean more on the Lord and less on ourselves.

God had huge plans for Esther, ones she could have never imagined in her wildest dreams. God also has plans for us. I am reminded today of Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” No matter what we are going through, or how difficult or different things may be, may we trust the plans that God has for our lives, and listen for His direction, and follow in His ways.
It is interesting how God works and moves in mysterious ways just as it has already been pointed out. I think of how He has worked in my own life during this past year and I would have never guessed a year ago that He would have placed me on the path that I am on now with providing food for people each week. God knew where He wanted me to be and how He wanted to use me when I didn’t even have a clue! I’m reminded of Joseph from the Old Testament with how he was treated by his brothers and then he ended up being put in charge as the second in command of all of Egypt! What a plan that only God could make happen!
Take a look at Genesis 50:20.
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
