2nd Chronicles chapter 8. It came to pass.
In verse 1 it states Solomon completed God's Temple and his own palace in 20 years. God said it would happen and it did. It took 20 years but it came to pass. Now it is to be used for its purpose: praising and worshipping God, for the teaching and preaching of the Word, for meeting with God, sacrifices and offerings. Because it is completed it does not mean they're done. It's a start of a new beginning.
When we rebuilt the Tabernacle at Edinboro Camp after it fell in from the snow, we took weeks to decide what kind of Tabernacle we should have. We spent time in prayer as we sought the Lord for his will. The executive board felt having sport options would be a great idea. We took a number of months to figure up a layout so it would have three basketball courts and 3 volleyball courts plus make it so it would accommodate badminton and pickleball. In 2016 the frame of the building was completed so we could use the building. And Praise the Lord for the completion of the sports aspect on the inside of the building.
1. We celebrate its completion. God lead us into this direction and now it will soon come to pass. It's a time of celebration. As I look back, there were so many miracles that enabled this building to be completed with its intended purpose. For example, the final $38,000 needed was donated by one individual.
2. Now we use it for its added purpose: sports. So my prayer now is that God would open the door for a couple of sport camps this coming summer and praying that over the years it will be used often for camps and retreats. I'm praying it will be a tool God uses to reach more people with the Gospel. When God brings something to pass, it's not the end but the end for a new beginning.
May we never feel we are finished serving the Lord. Let every day be a New day and a New opportunity to be used for the Lord. Amen!

May God continue to use the ministry of Edinboro Camp so that people may clearly experience the love and truth of Jesus as lives are impacted by the Gospel for eternity!
I was reminded today of how God always keeps His promises. He is faithful and true just as we read in Joshua 21:45.
“Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.”
