Good morning EVERYONE!!!
First Chronicles chapter 2.
Once again we get a lot of genealogy starting with Israel and his 12 sons. Some wonder why the Scripture includes boring genealogies.
In reality, such genealogies help support the Christian faith, that Jesus is the son of God our Savior.
Such genealogies support the Scripture that Jesus came from the root of David who came from the root of Abraham who came from Noah who came from Adam. Genealogies starting from creation through Christ's life help support what other Scripture say in the Bible. Plus Scripture speaks of over 300 prophecies that were fulfilled by Jesus. Such prophecies help support that Jesus is the son of God. Finding evidence of events mentioned in the Bible also helps give validity to the Scriptures such as evidence for a worldwide flood. Documents found 1000 + years ago give support to the Scriptures. Such documents are both secular and non secular. Both give evidence that support that the Scriptures really did happen.
So when times get tough and you start to wonder if there is a God, don't let the difficult times of life dictate whether or not there is a God who loves and cares for you.

We read the genealogies and yet still know that Jesus always existed before He came to fit into the genealogy as He was born on the earth in human flesh and blood.
I was reminded of a couple of Bible passages today from John.
John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
John 8:56-58
Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see My day. He saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
