Good morning everybody. 1st Kings chapter 5.
King Hiram of Tyre was friends with King David and then reached out to King Solomon. King Solomon said because he had peace on every side he would build a temple for the Lord so he asked King Hiram for cedars to build with. King Hiram was pleased to get cedars for King Solomon. King Solomon paid him for his services and they made a treaty with each other. Over a hundred and thirty-three thousand men helped with getting supplies for the new Temple.
It's amazing what friends can do if they come together for one purpose for the kingdom. Who would be your King Hiram? Who's a person you have a deep love and respect for because they have come alongside you in Ministry or just in their support of what you do? For me there are number of people who invest a lot of time and support in the camp Ministry. Karin, Dan and Linda are 3 examples.

There was much time and effort that went into building a temple for the Lord.
I was thinking about Psalm 127:1 today.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
There are many things that we could invest our time and energy into, but if those things don’t include the Lord in them somehow, then those things are ultimately just a waste of our time and energy.
In this verse I thought about similar things that did. When people work together peacefully, so much can be accomplished. The interactions between King Solomon and King Hiram we’re friendly, well received, and positive. When we have that same kind of interaction with people in our daily lives, we can do so much good. Often, our human nature might cause us to grumble or complain at changes or new things happening. But what if we didn’t? What if we saw the blessings, the opportunity, and positivity that comes with a new endeavor and we embrace the ideas and support those inquiring of our thought and time. King Hiram is a great example of embracing King Solomon positively, and their interaction is one that we can all strive for at home, at work, and even with strangers. Let’s see what good we can accomplish!
