Good morning everyone!
1st Samuel chapter 6.
The Philistines wanted so bad to maintain a hard heart toward God. They still wanted to acknowledge their god as THE GOD. The priest said don't be like the Egyptians. They gave wise counsel.
The Israelites were very excited to have the Ark of the Lord back but in their time of joy they got too excited and looked inside the Ark. God said before that “No one can touch the ark and live.” As a result, 70 Israelites died that day.
How quickly we forget God and how quickly we go astray and compromise our faith walk. How quickly we forget God is Holy and will not tolerate un-holiness. God, how quickly we forget you with our life choices. Forgive me and help me to walk in Holiness and in obedience. Help me not to have a hard heart and to think that for some reason you will allow yourself to be unholy by not being concerned about my un-holiness (my poor life choices). Thank you that your love and holiness motivate you to go after me, when like a sheep, I go astray!
Psalm 10:13 says, “Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, ‘He won’t call me to account?’”
It’s easy to get an attitude where we feel like, “I’m a Christian! I’m someone special. I can do as I please. God won’t hold me accountable.” As a result we are deceived. We will all be held accountable with the same standards of everyone else. Be careful!

This chapter made me think of Psalm 46:10.
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
