Many blessings to everyone! Deuteronomy chapter 3.
As Moses speaks to the Israelites reminding them of all that God did, he recalled the defeat of King Og of Bashan and overtaking 60 cities. This land was then distributed amongst the two and a half tribes of Israel that wanted to stay east of the Jordan River instead of going into the Promised Land. There were two great Kings that the Israelites defeated which God used as a way of letting Joshua know that what he saw God do to those kings he can be confident in knowing what God will do to all the kings west of the Jordan in the Promised Land. I like what God Said “Do not be afraid, I will fight for you.”
What a comfort that is. That takes a load off of our minds and stress off of our hearts. We fight to be in control and do all the planning and scheduling to the point we worry ourselves to death. We strive so hard and IF we get an outcome then it appears that we were the great one and we get the glory. But God wants to be in control because when he's in control we can rest in peace and confidence knowing that his plan will be carried out and then he can get all the glory. I wrote down some key words that go with Me In Control and God in Control.
ME CONTROL:
- SELF: Talking to myself on what I think should be done.
- WORRY: I always worry and fret about the plans.
- FEAR: I'm afraid things are not going to work out.
- FAILURE: it doesn't go the way I planned.
- ME GLORY: I work so hard because I want the glory.
GOD CONTROL:
- PRAYER: prayer is the key for accomplishing God's work. Prayer lets God know that you want him in control and not yourself.
- PEACE: knowing that God is in control gives you peace throughout all the obstacles that you encounter. You trust that God will work things out.
- CONFIDENCE: you trust and just know God will bring everything together.
- SUCCESS: there is fruit that comes from the work of God that others can see.
- GLORY TO GOD: the fruit that is evident you know is because of God because there's no way you could have done it on your own. God gets the glory!!

What a difference there is when we allow God to have control of situations rather than trying to be in control of them ourselves. We are reminded in this chapter of a time when Moses acted as if he was in control and we see the results of his actions. There are many places in the Bible that we read about God telling people not to be afraid just as we see here in chapter 3. Another one of those places is Isaiah 41:10.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Deuteronomy 3:28 was the verse that stood out to me ,
The anointing of Moses to lead the people was passed on to Joshua. Joshua would now lead the people over into the Promised Land.
Moses did so much, but not enough to get into the promised land, God warned him. Now he is to be punished. That would have been tough , especially after God then tells Moses go motivate Joshua to lead the people.
I have coached and lead groups only to have someone else step in and get the accolades and spoils that go with it. But what I have learned and this verse reminds me is. :A lot can be accomplished when we give the glory to God
Stay cool everyone
